Our 6th and 7th grade percussion students performed last night, Thursday March 6th, here at Valley View Middle School for our annual Night of Percussion concert. Students played 3 pieces and were also able to watch performances from Salem Jr. High and Salem Hills High School. Congrats on a great concert and good luck to our 7th grade percussionists as they prepare to perform at the Percussive Arts Society Utah Day of Percussion festival at Riverton High School next Saturday March 15th.

On Monday February 10th a few of our band students visited each of the 5 elementary schools that come to Valley View Middle School. They had fun showing the 5th graders their band instruments and getting them excited about the band classes at Valley View Middle School. #vvmsraptors #neboschooldistrict

Battle of the Books was a ton of fun this year! The students were so prepared and read a TON of books! Our 1st place team consisted of Claire Hirz, Miriam Griffiths, Ella Lyman, Katelyn Walters, and Londyn Fox! On Friday, December 6th, our band and percussion students had the opportunity to do a zoom meeting with Scratch Eden, the composer of a few of the pieces they will be performing at their concert this Friday December 13th. Students performed for Scratch Eden, received feedback from him, and asked him about being a band composer.
